IMAX films: For more than 20 years, Kristin has been working in various capacities with MacGillivray Freeman Films (MFF), the world's largest producer of giant-screen films. These are usually 40-minute movies that screen in museums and science centers, but sometimes MFF creates television series too.
A wide release of Rex Appeal2: This second edition of the real story of Sue and Stan—the most famous T. rex specimens ever—offers updated and expanded content (100 additional pages!) since the first edition more than 20 years ago. Our first printing is already available through Black Hills Institute—exclusively for its museum and science center clients—but we're gearing up for a wide distribution by rocndog Books.

It will be available for broad distribution in 2026.
Director: Todd Douglas Miller
Based on Rex Appeal
The film, which premiered at Sundance in 2014, is based on the first edition of Rex Appeal, the book co-authored by Peter Larson and Kristin Donnan. Dinosaur 13 was released theatrically and on-demand in August 2014, aired on CNN in November 2014, and won the 2014 Emmy® award for Outstanding Science & Technology Programming. Both authors appeared on screen and supported the production.
