Testimonials

Kristin is brilliant at her craft! Her expertise, professionalism, and ethical integrity are seamlessly paired with her exceptional ability to attune to my deepest inspirations and motivations. With her supportive presence, compassionate listening, and insightful questioning, she created a space that allowed me to uncover and connect with the core of my genuine yearnings and inner purpose. I never expected another person to be able to listen, interview/question, and gain the depth of understanding that Kristin did. Then to support the rewording and expression of what I was truly attempting to share. The process was deeply healing and affirming for me. Her guidance made the creative process not only productive but also profoundly enriching.

Wholehearted Revolution: How One Woman Was Called Into Action

When I began my first major writing project, Kristin must have rolled her eyes as she led me through the basics of how to organize and develop chapters. Then, as I neared completion, my husband—the subject of the book—wanted to throw a couple of unexpected additions into the flow. Kristin rushed to our aid, sent us to separate corners, and figured out a solution to satisfy us both. In that project and the next, she taught me how to convey stories in my own voice, how to tighten the prose, and how to believe in myself. My second book grew wings because of her undaunted spirit, good humor, deep understanding of my goal, attention to detail, and literary expertise. Put all that together with the layout skills of her team and her connections within the publishing world, and magic happens.

Mystic Travelers: Images from the Edge

Twenty years ago, I queried Kristin about editing my first book about teaching. I knew exactly what I wanted as an end result—I even had cartoons and graphics and pull quotes. Still, I wanted a trusted hand to tie it all together. Somehow as she edited for continuity, flow, and grammar, Kristin also added a lilt that seamlessly magnified the tone of the manuscript. She added humor—and in my personal voice. All the while, she provided masterful organization, timely and clear communication, and crucial insight into everything a manuscript needs to be successful. As of this writing, we’re on our fourth project together. She’s always got my back.

Kristin brought an incredible sense of ease and efficiency to the entire process of creating Feel to Heal, making what could have been a daunting task feel seamless and enjoyable. Her expertise in research was invaluable, particularly when it came to compiling the bibliography for the book. She ensured the material was well supported and credible, which greatly enhanced the depth and authority of the work. Kristin's dedication, attention to detail, and ability to weave complex information into a clear and engaging narrative made a significant impact on the final product. I am deeply grateful for her professionalism, creativity, and collaborative spirit.

Ghostwriting project

I thought all my pretty pictures were enough to make a good coffee table book, but had no idea how to do it. Thankfully, Kristin did. I told her my vision and she guided me through the process, pulling the story and the layout together in a way that would work with my audience. She found the heart and soul of each chapter in a way I could never have done on my own. In fact, we sat together at her computer several times throughout the process, and she typed as I told stories—she pulled them out of me like a worm draws silk. My first printing sold out, so we expanded the edition and reprinted. Kristin is so much fun to work with. Since that first adventure, I have worked with her on all my publishing projects.
